This is a simple 2D Isometric game in which you control a dinosaur that freed itself from its cage and starts looking for visitors to devour.

You have 30 seconds to devour as many as you can, and each person you eat will give you additional time and speed.

This is not only the first isometric game I have worked on, but also the first I fully finish and release, as a participation in my first Game Jam.

I made the game from scratch by myself in 48 hours, I created all the art assets and own the rights to the music and sound effects.

The dino gets hilariously fast later on in the game.

The things I'd change:

  • If I understood the system correctly, if the soldiers are always the same looking, stop them from getting more movement speed with you. Instead have the soldiers gather up more. Maybe there could be a group of 10-20 soldiers in some corner and you generally want to avoid going there before you have more movement speed or a better way to deal with them.
  • It would be fun if the dino would get a bit bigger every time he ate someone or have some ability like an area of effect eat ability that'd get better with each eaten human.

Good job with the game!

Dude I love this :D its so much fun to just run around eating everything. I apprechiate how effortless you've made it to eat somebody. I beat it first try so I'ts rather easy but I liked in nonetheless. I love the voice acting too. as far as feedback goes getting shot by the guards doesn't seem to do as much as i feel like it should. also the timer I'm seeing in the screen shots wasn't showing for me. as it is right now the game is excellent so I think the best feedback to give is to add more content. more types of people, environment stuff, etc. great work! Best of luck

Thanks a lot for the comment!

The game is indeed still rather easy, and I would have liked to successfully make the guards more of a threat to the player, but it is pretty hard making it all cohesive at very high speed, I'm still working on that, and on adding more content.

I simply forgot to update the screenshots to the 1.1 version of the game, that's fixed now!
